The colourful Rho Ophiuchi cloud near Antares

Comments: This superb image was neither taken by me or on film! The credit goes to Nik Szymanek who used an Artemis HSC (now an Atik 11000) large format CCD camera. The telescope used was probably his Pentax SDHF 75mm APO. I have included it as the chip is about the same size as a 35mm film transparency. This image was taken in July 2007 from the ORM on La Palma.
